We are delighted to inform you of our 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled to take place in Lagos, from Tuesday 23rd April to Saturday 27th April 2024, at the Balmoral Convention Center, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria

The Theme for this year’s event is:

“UNLOCKING AFRICA'S ECONOMIC POTENTIAL: TRAVEL AND TOURISM AS CATALYST FOR INTRA-AFRICA BUSINESS, INVESTMENT AND TRADE”

The 48th NANTA AGM and Exhibition is set to be an enriching experience, designed to equip participants with innovative strategies and valuable resources that will not only bolster their businesses but also catalyze growth in the realms of travel, tourism, business, trade, and investments both within and beyond the African continent.

This event is not just the conventional NANTA AGM, it also introduces an unprecedented initiative — the Maiden Edition of an Inter Africa Travel and Trade Exhibition by NANTA, a groundbreaking event that signifies/marks the commencement of a biennial, Africa-focused Exhibition that will be hosted by NANTA to ignite inter and intra-Africa business, investment, and trade, through the instrumentality of travel and tourism.

This event is envisioned to set the stage for a global Exhibition that will become the hallmark of appreciable economic development, future investments and business opportunities for the African Continent

Being the single largest travel trade association in West Africa with over 3000 corporate entities in the travel and tourism industry, we anticipate very wide attendance and participation, with over a thousand (1000) delegates including over 700 travel professionals who are Chief Executives of duly registered Travel Management Companies (TMCs) in Nigeria and diverse industry stakeholders, within and across the globe, ranging from Government/governmental agencies, Tourism Boards of various countries, Airlines, Banks, Travel Technology Companies, and IATA.

As a key trade partner and highly recognized stakeholder, we formally invite you and your organization to participate as an Exhibitor, by taking up a floor space to exhibit at the 48th NANTA AGM and Maiden Inter Africa Trade Exhibition.

Unlocking Africa's Economic Potential: Travel and Tourism as Catalysts For Intra-Africa Business, Investment and Trade:

A SPECIAL INVITATION TO EXHIBIT - MRS. SUSAN AKPORIAYE, PRESIDENT, NANTA

Dear Esteemed Partners,

In the famous words of Melody Beattie, “Gratitude makes sense of our past, it brings peace for today, and helps create a vision for tomorrow”.

This is so true, and it is on the basis of this profound quote that I

express my heartfelt gratitude, first to the Almighty, the

wellspring of wisdom and strength, and then to you, our amazing

partners.

We have not just walked but we have journeyed together through

the ebbs and flows, waxes and wanes, only to still succeed as

champions of our industry.

This message is a high-five and a big virtual hug to each one of

you for your valuable support especially through my

administration and leadership as the President of the great

National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA).

Your collaboration and support have woven a significant narrative

in the success story and history of NANTA.

As the National President, I choose to celebrate each of you in a

distinguished manner to say THANK YOU.

A Remarkable Journey from 2020 till date

My leadership as the National President of NANTA began in the first quarter of 2020, a year notable for the varying global crisis, macro-economic and industry-specific challenges. But like I love to say 'Tough times do not last, only tough people do". Despite the hurdles and difficulties that confronted the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry, we developed strategies and initiatives that could sustain the downstream aviation sector and today, I am thrilled to share some key achievements during my tenure as President of NANTA which align with the four (4) cardinal objectives of my administration:

Professionalism and Excellence:

Through diverse training and capacity-building programs, ranging from travel technology to leadership, business strategy, business diversification, and product development, we elevated the standard of professionalism, competence, excellence, and quality of service delivery of members.

Unification:

Through virtual meetings and carefully curated webinars with various industry stakeholders and governmental bodies, NANTA became a

platform that convened

all industry stakeholders thereby creating a collaborative environment that strengthens the aviation family.

Advocacy:

Through varying media platforms ranging from print to broadcast, to digital and social media, NANTA became a voice, more impactful and notable for representing the interests of the travel industry and amplifying collective goals.

Inter and Intra Africa Development:

This is the most cherished and paramount objective of my administration as NANTA President, and it remains my goal to see rapid economic development in Africa through the

instrumentality of Travel and Tourism and Medical Tourism. This we have embarked upon through collaboration and partnerships with African Tourism Boards,

Ministries, Departments and Agencies of various governmental organizations.

Given our antecedents as pioneers and innovators, we are raising the bar of our scorecard again!

NANTA will celebrate her 48th Annual General Meeting scheduled for 23rd to 27th of April 2024, but this time it is going to be different and dynamic. For the first time ever in the 48 years of NANTA the AGM is set to be a full-blown, Africa- focused Exhibition and this is the first of its kind.

This AGM marks the culmination of my tenure as the National President of NANTA, signifying my exit.

However, I envision the closure of my administration not as an end but as a launchpad to propel NANTA into a new era.

My vision is for NANTA to emerge as a dynamic force actively contributing to Africa's business, trade, and investment landscape through the instrumentality of Travel and Tourism, aligning with the ambitious agenda of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

This transition is not merely about farewells; it is about ushering in a new chapter of transformative growth and influence for NANTA across the diverse landscapes of the African continent and the world.

It is to this end that I, as the National President of NANTA (the largest travel and trade association in West Africa) extend a very cordial invitation to you as a Special Partner to NANTA to come market/sell/promote your products, explore Business, Trade and investment opportunities and Participate as not just a special guest but an EXHIBITOR at the NANTA 48TH AGM and Exhibition happening live in Lagos (renown as the commercial/investment hub of the African Continent).

This is a clarion call to you our dearly esteemed NANTA Partners to let us converge to sell, learn, innovate, network, expand, explore, showcase and ultimately unlock Africa's Economic Potential through travel and tourism, highly resonating with the theme of the 48th AGM and Exhibition which is - Unlocking Africa's Economic Potential: Travel and Tourism as catalysts for Intra-Africa Business, Investment and Trade.

As an EXHIBITOR at the NANTA 48th AGM and Inter Africa Trade Exhibition, you will have access to at least 1000 CEOs of Notable Travel Management Companies (TMCs) of the nearly 3000 professional travel agencies (corporate brands in the Travel and Tourism industry who are duly registered members of NANTA) in Nigeria and I can tell you that the opportunities and benefits to you as an Exhibitor are so endless. They include but are not limited to:

❖B2B Collaborations:

engaging event atmosphere.

This exhibition is not merely a gathering; it is a groundbreaking vision that sets new standards for the future, especially for Nigeria

and the African Continent.

For the first time in our 47-year history, NANTA's AGM will be a full- blown exhibition—an event

designed to redefine the landscape of industry gatherings in the Nigerian Travel and Tourism Sector.

I, again through this medium

extend a personal invitation for you to express your interest and collaborate with NANTA in our collective effort to position Africa

as a hub for economic

development through travel and tourism.

Your participation is not just an investment in your brand; it is a strategic commitment to the

growth and prosperity of the

world's future and hope – Africa.

In the spirit of unity, collaboration, and progress, I look forward to your presence and active participation at this historic event.

Together, let us unlock new

horizons and celebrate the success we have achieved and the immense potential that lies ahead.

Let's not just unlock Africa's

success and development; let's participate, let's build and let's celebrate it together!

In unity, we find strength; in collaboration, we discover success.
